Kuta Beach Bali

The archipelago of Indonesia may consist of many islands, but not all of them are as popular as the island of Bali. Bali is nicknamed the ‘Island of the Gods’ and it is a well-deserved title as visitors will soon realise. The island is known for its exquisite nightlife and divine beaches, two factors which make it a tourist favourite. All towns on the island, except for a few of the landlocked ones, have excellent beaches. This little island is the perfect vacation choice for those looking for a change in scenery.

Kuta is the most developed region in Bali and receives the most tourist traffic. Crowded and constantly abuzz with activity, Kuta may not seem appealing at first, but it is simply impossible to visit Bali and avoid Kuta. Kuta Beach, which is sometimes called Sunset Beach, is undoubtedly the most popular coastal area in Bali and no trip to the Indonesian island can be considered complete without stopping by here. It tends to get crowded during the weekend so the best time to visit is on weekdays. It was originally frequented by surfers although its popularity as a surfing destination has somewhat declined over time. However, one can still find plenty of surfers near Kuta Beach.

The beach is quite safe, remarkably clean, and is lined with vendors selling various items and offering massages. A massage by the beach can go a long way towards reducing stress. As it is a popular tourist spot, most of the goods and services tend to be a bit pricier than in other parts of the island. Those who wish to avoid crowds should try visiting Bali after the peak tourist season. The Legian Beach and the Seminyak Beach are two other popular beaches to try when vacationing here.

Tourists looking for luxury villas in Bali will find few better options than Alila Villas Soori. Providing excellent luxury villas Bali complete with all the best facilities, including a divine spa, it is a terrific place to stay at. It has an excellent beach side location and is the ideal option for those who want to enjoy Bali’s amazing coastal areas amidst the sun, sand and surf.

Meditate in peace at the Wat Hin Lad

Ko Samui is one of Thailand’s island extensions and is it’s third largest. It boasts of Thailand’s famous beaches as well as wonderful green lush forests.

Set in one of these lush forests is a waterfall named Hin Lad that is both beautiful and majestic especially during the rainy season when the water gushes out and cascades down the rocks. The path to the waterfall is a 20 – 30 minute trek that requires you to wear sturdy running shoes and bring along a bottle of water. However the trek is worthwhile once you come to the waterfall. Many Thais make use of the weekend to bring the family for a picnic to the waterfall.

At the foot of the trail lies an old temple named Wat Hin Lad. Its actual name is Wat Namtok Hin Lad. This temple is seemingly carved into the forest and blends in with its surroundings in such a manner as to seem as one with nature.

Visitors are encouraged to feed the fish in the river, and this can be done when crossing the white bridge that leads to the temple. Fish food can be purchased for a small price at the nearby shop. As you cross the bridge an unusual Buddha statue resplendent in its mother of pearl hue is sure to catch your eye. Apart from this the path that leads to the temple is filled with intermittent signs of Thai words of wisdom.

The monks, nuns and trainers at this temple are ever willing to lend their expertise and guidance in helping all those who wish to seek refuge in the temple to meditate, to move away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and to enjoy the calming atmosphere that permeates the temple.

For this reason, weekends are quite busy at the Wat Hin Lad as numerous people visit the temple to pursue meditation as well as stop by on their way to or from the waterfall.

For those looking to travel to this part of Thailand and on the lookout for a Samui hotel then consider convenience and comfort in the Samui resort you choose. The Anantara Bophut Koh Samui is such an ideal choice.

At The Top Burj Khalifa Experience

During its short span of existence, the Burj Khalifa or Burj Dubai as it is commonly referred to, has successfully outdone its predecessors in becoming the iconic landmark of Dubai. Located in the central business district of United Arab Emirates’ prominent city, Dubai, it is still debatable whether the structure is more winsome at night or day. Further, the bird’s eye view from the top is enchanting during the day with the Khalifa Creek just below and under the bright twinkly lights at night; the view is even more enthralling.

The Observation Deck of Burj Khalifa positioned 124 floors above the ground offers these unparalleled, spectacular views and is dubbed ‘At the Top’. Once you ascend to this outdoor observation platform you can witness not only the prevalent scenery and weather conditions, but with the assistance of the ‘Behold Telescope’ you can travel back in time to scrutinize images of the past. These saved illustrations consist of pictures taken during varied climatic conditions and those taken at other times of the day. ‘At the Top’ is favoured by lovers who find it to be a romantic getaway to spend time especially on St Valentine’s Day and other special occasions.

Due to the frenzied interest taken by the crowds that throng to Dubai, it is always advisable to purchase tickets online so that you can shoot up to the top straight away. However, this would be after a long and relaxed stroll on the well landscaped Burj Khalifa Park which surrounds the building. A couple of floors below ‘At the Top’ is the sky high restaurant that kisses the clouds, serves scrumptious multi ethnic food and offers some appetizing views of the Middle East.

While you are atop scanning the horizon you can decide which one of the Middle East hotels looks the grandest and most apt for your accommodation. Many UAE hotels will be visible from the higher floors of the buildings, but seem to appear like tiny pebbles as you rise further and further. Even the much talked of Millennium & Copthorne Hotels Middle East will loom large at first and then become a sparkling speck as you rise.

The Wrights Hill

Several astounding beautiful tracks wind their ways through the many little towns that make New Zealand. Most places boast immaculate beauty and make trekking both adventurous and relaxing. There is one particular location that has so much more than the mere benefits of trekking; it is the Wrights Hill. 28 different tracks make their way through Wright’s hill and to top it all, this spot is intriguingly historic. Being the location of the famous Wrights fortress, it is certainly a must see for all those visiting New Zealand.

The Wrights Hill is located in the Karori suburb of Wellington and is the home to the famous fortress built between the years 1942 and 1947 during the time of World War 2. The fortress is predominantly created underground and consists of an array of tunnels, plotting rooms, gun emplacements and magazines. At some points these structures go as deep as 50 feet underground. The fort installed 2 large 9.2 Mk guns but although it was indented to be used, the fort never saw action. The guns and the entire defense was a protection against the Japanese but strangely, after the war, the guns were fired and sold as scrap metal to the Japanese itself. The entire fortress has an eerie aura within its walls. It is open to public on particular days; the queen’s birthday and Labor Day are some of the days but through prior appointment the fortress can be opened for viewing on other days as well. Film industries have been attracted to this location thanks to the structure of the fortress and the sound effects within it and an entire New Zealand horror movie was shot within these walls.

In the surrounding you can find nature at its finest. Several parks, lush flora and rare fauna are all found here. The Wrights Hill also provides connections between the Makara Peak mountain bike park and the Polhill area.

When it comes to staying in Wellington New Zealand hotels are found in plenty. One of the most popular Wellington city Hotel, is the Copthorne Hotel Wellington Oriental Bay. This is one classy place that keeps you coming back for more.
